1930's Bearsden House - Extension

The art deco inspired house require refurbishment and reconfiguration to provide a new open plan living space.

Project Brief

The house retains many art deco features which are retained. The requirement was for a new open plan kitchen dining living space adjacent to the garden. This enabled upgrading of existing service facilities and provision of a modern open plan, open roofed, space. The works are in progress. Further developments are planned to provide a new entrance space with adjacent wet room, and a japanese inspired wet room / bathroom.

“I don't think that architecture is only about shelter,
is only about a very simple enclosure. It should be able
to excite you, to calm you, to make you think.”
